Introduction [Biosketch]
Born on June 17, 1991, at Silchar, Assam, Dr. Swarnali Bhattacharjee is working as an Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Gurucharan University. She completed her foundational schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC Srikona, clearing her AISSE in 2007 and AISSCE in 2009.
She pursued her higher education in Guwahati, earning a B.Sc. with Honors in Zoology from Cotton College (now Cotton University) in 2013, followed by an M.Sc. from Gauhati University in 2015. In 2023, she was awarded her PhD from Gauhati University for her doctoral research conducted at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST). Her dissertation focused on evaluating the effects of bioactive fractions of Garcinia pedunculata (Roxb.) on diabetes-induced cardiac dysfunction in Wistar rats.
Dr. Bhattacharjee’s primary research interests include medicinal plants, antioxidants, diabetes, and cardiovascular complications.
